Life sux

A friend once said "Life has a funny way of kicking your ass". I've taken that to heart and have always tried to keep an eye out for all the things that could wrong. But even still, sometimes things come along that you can't pass up, no matter how much that little voice in the back of your head yells at you to run away.
I knew she would leave. I knew that she was too good to be true. I knew that it wouldn't last. And yet, I still went along, hoping that I was wrong...
If you've read this far, you can probably figure out that I wasn't wrong. I ignored everything that my head said and listened to my heart. And as my head is fond of pointing out, my heart has a lousy track record.
I think the worst part is knowing that she's not missing me. Knowing that the hardest thing for her was trying to figure out what to say so she could move on with her life.

If anyone wants a used heart (with fresh footprints on it), let me know. I don't have much use for it anymore.
